Infection?

Lyric has not been feeling to well tonight. She was running a fever and not really interested in eating. She has had a couple of spots appear today on her legs that have quickly gotten worse. Between the spots and the fever the Dr. is worried about infection. They have told us that staff and marsa have been an issue before in Leukemia patients. An infection at this point would be very serious. With her white blood count being wiped out to nothing, her Imune system is extremely low. They immediately started her on an antibiotic that focuses on the skin.Lyric will have her feeding tube stopped early tonight since she is having a spinal tap tomarrow and cannot have anything to eat after a certin time. If this spinal tap comes back "clean", it will be the second one in a row which means that the Leukemia is in remission at least in her spinal fluid. That will be great. Please pray for a good result. We should hear something in a few days.
