Fine Needle Aspiration

The infection team arrived to look at Lyric's spot. They are not interested in doing a punch biopsy like before on her leg but a fine needle aspiration where they attempt to sample the cells from the spot with a needle. They will have to stick the area several times to get enough cells. The nurse came in a treated the area with a cream that numbs about an hour ago. It stays on the spot until they are ready to sample the cells.

Of course when the team came in Lyric was immediately upset. She has the white coat syndrome. As soon as she sees those white coats, she freaks out. We stepped out of the room as they performed the small procedure. Now we just have to wait for the results to come back from the lab to see what were dealing with.
