It's about 1:30 AM. As I was trying to get some work done, Lyric started to run a temperature of 100.5 This too can be dangerous in cancer patients. At worst a sign of infection. The Dr. just came in a started her on an antibiotic just in case and Tylenol to break the fever. The Nurse also took blood cultures from her Hickman port to send to the lab for testing. They will be taking vitals more often through the night to monitor the fever.
